THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST: How to be Saved From Being Separated From God

The message from the Bible

Jesus replied: “’ Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” (Matt.22:37-39)
All of God’s commandments are summed up into these two: perfect love for God and perfect love for all people. Have you lived up to these two commands?

“ Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven...Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” (Matt. 7:21 , 5:48 )
No one will enter heaven unless they do the will of God perfectly! Have you been perfect?

...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God... (Romans 3:23)
Everyone has failed God; there is no one who had kept the will of God perfectly.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
What we earn from our sin against God is death. Death is separation from God. But God has a gift for us. This gift is a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. If you receive the gift of Jesus Christ before you die, you will never die – you will never be separated from Him. This closeness with God begins the moment you receive Jesus Christ and continues for all of eternity.

For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. (1 Peter 3:18)
Christ, the only man who ever lived in perfect love for God and man (because He was both God and man), died on the cross for us who are sinners, in order to bring us into a personal relationship with God. He paid for our sins so that we could be right with God.

And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again. (2 Corinthians 5:15)
He died for all of us so that we would no longer live for ourselves but for God.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
God, out of love, gave His Son, Jesus Christ, so that whoever believes in Him, instead of himself and his good works, will not be separated from God but will have a personal relationship with God forever. God already gave His Son two thousand years ago. What do you have to do? You have to believe in Him personally.

In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”
(John 3:3)
This personal relationship requires a new birth. What does this mean?

Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God – children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husbands’ will, but born of God. (John 1:12-13)
When we receive Jesus Christ and believe in His name to save us personally from the wrath our rebellion against God and our sins deserve, we are “born-again.” This simply means that God, the Holy Spirit, causes our spirit to become alive to God. This spiritual birth is also known as “regeneration.”

Jesus replied, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
(John 14:6)
There is no other way to be right with God except through faith in Jesus Christ!

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” (Revelation 3:20)
This is Jesus talking to you. The door He is knocking on is your heart. Will you open the door of your heart and let Him in? (The coming in and eating with you is a metaphor for personal relationship.)

YOU CAN RECEIVE JESUS RIGHT NOW BY FAITH THROUGH PRAYER

“Lord Jesus, I need you. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins which were the result of my living in rebellion against God. I open the door of my heart and receive you as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life which is found in a personal relationship with You. I choose today to follow You. Please take control of my life so that I can live for You.”

Does this prayer express the desire of your heart? Then pray it now and Christ will come into your life just as He has promised. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. (1 John 5:11-12)
